Je l\u2019ai regard\u00e9e.
Son visage \u00e9tait p\u00e2le, ses mains fr\u00eales pos\u00e9es sur la couverture d\u2019h\u00f4pital, les yeux \u00e0 demi clos, comme si elle flottait entre deux mondes.
Il n\u2019y avait ni fleurs, ni cartes, ni chuchotements d\u2019enfants ou de petits-enfants.
Seulement moi.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et pourtant\u2026 je n\u2019avais jamais su si elle m\u2019aimait vraiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pendant des ann\u00e9es, notre relation avait \u00e9t\u00e9 faite de politesses froides, de d\u00eeners tendus, de phrases commenc\u00e9es mais jamais finies.
Elle me regardait avec distance.
Je lui r\u00e9pondais avec prudence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais aujourd\u2019hui, dans cette pi\u00e8ce blanche o\u00f9 le temps semblait suspendu, il n\u2019y avait plus de barri\u00e8res.
Seulement une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 nue :
Elle allait mourir. Et j\u2019\u00e9tais l\u00e0.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je me suis approch\u00e9(e).
J\u2019ai pris sa main.

Dans le silence. Mais un silence qui, soudain, n\u2019\u00e9tait plus vide.
Il \u00e9tait plein de pardon.
