Autrefois, c\u2019\u00e9tait une ferme \u00e9questre renomm\u00e9e. On y \u00e9levait des chevaux de comp\u00e9tition, puissants, magnifiques. Des enfants y venaient pour apprendre \u00e0 monter. Des adultes pour oublier leurs soucis.
Mais du jour au lendemain, tout s\u2019est arr\u00eat\u00e9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus de rires. Plus de sabots frappant le sol.
Juste le silence. Et une rumeur qui murmurait :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Quelque chose s\u2019est pass\u00e9 l\u00e0-bas.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Pendant plus de dix ans, personne n\u2019a os\u00e9 y remettre les pieds. Les volets restaient ferm\u00e9s, les paddocks envahis par les ronces. Les rares voisins parlaient d\u2019ombres dans les granges, de hennissements la nuit, bien apr\u00e8s que les chevaux aient disparu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais ce jour-l\u00e0\u2026 tout a chang\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019\u00e9tait un groupe de quatre adolescents du village voisin. Intrigu\u00e9s, un peu inconscients, ils ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de franchir la cl\u00f4ture rouill\u00e9e \u00ab juste pour voir \u00bb.
Cam\u00e9ras en main, t\u00e9l\u00e9phone charg\u00e9, ils ont voulu explorer la l\u00e9gende.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ils ne s\u2019attendaient pas \u00e0 le trouver.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans l\u2019ancienne \u00e9curie, sous la lumi\u00e8re bris\u00e9e du toit, un vieux cheval gris se tenait l\u00e0.
Osseux. Immobile.
Ses yeux les fixaient comme s\u2019il attendait.
Mais ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas<\/strong> un cheval normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le plus jeune du groupe s\u2019est approch\u00e9. Et quand il a effleur\u00e9 son encolure\u2026 tout s\u2019est mis \u00e0 trembler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une porte qu\u2019on croyait condamn\u00e9e s\u2019est ouverte d\u2019un coup. Un hurlement \u2014 humain<\/strong> \u2014 a r\u00e9sonn\u00e9 depuis la cave.
Les lumi\u00e8res de leurs t\u00e9l\u00e9phones se sont \u00e9teintes. Et dans l\u2019obscurit\u00e9, ils ont entendu\u2026 un deuxi\u00e8me hennissement. Mais plus proche. Derri\u00e8re eux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ils ont fui.
Tous, sauf un.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les secours, appel\u00e9s en panique par les trois survivants, ont fouill\u00e9 la ferme. Ils ont retrouv\u00e9 le gar\u00e7on quelques heures plus tard, recroquevill\u00e9 dans l\u2019ancienne sellerie, en \u00e9tat de choc profond<\/strong>, murmurant sans cesse les m\u00eames mots :<\/p>\n\n\n\n
