On ne savait pas d\u2019o\u00f9 l\u2019animal venait, ni comment il avait trouv\u00e9 l\u2019h\u00f4pital. Il \u00e9tait simplement apparu un matin, assis devant la porte de la chambre 213. Il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 retrouv\u00e9 inconscient apr\u00e8s un accident de voiture. Aucun papier sur lui. Aucune empreinte dans les bases de donn\u00e9es. Juste un regard perdu\u2026 et ce chien qui semblait <strong>le conna\u00eetre mieux que personne.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le personnel de l\u2019h\u00f4pital h\u00e9sitait. Fallait-il faire sortir l\u2019animal&nbsp;? L\u2019envoyer dans un refuge&nbsp;? Mais chaque tentative de l\u2019\u00e9loigner se soldait par des aboiements plaintifs, des griffes sur la porte, une d\u00e9tresse presque humaine. Alors, on l\u2019a laiss\u00e9 rester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les jours ont pass\u00e9. Puis des semaines. L\u2019homme ne retrouvait toujours pas la m\u00e9moire, mais il commen\u00e7ait \u00e0 r\u00e9agir \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence du chien. Il lui parlait \u00e0 voix basse, lui caressait la t\u00eate. Parfois, il souriait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et puis, un soir, tout a chang\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019homme s\u2019est r\u00e9veill\u00e9 en sursaut, les yeux humides, et a prononc\u00e9 un mot, un seul&nbsp;: <strong>\u00ab Rex. \u00bb<\/strong><br>Le chien a lev\u00e9 la t\u00eate, s\u2019est approch\u00e9, et a pos\u00e9 son museau contre sa poitrine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas juste un chien.<br>C\u2019\u00e9tait <strong>son chien.<\/strong> Son seul lien avec sa vie d\u2019avant.<br>Son compagnon fid\u00e8le\u2026<br>Celui qui l\u2019avait retrouv\u00e9, guid\u00e9 par
