Ce matin-l\u00e0, tout semblait normal \u00e0 la clinique v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire de Saint-Laurent. Les premiers rendez-vous d\u00e9filaient comme d\u2019habitude : un chat enrhum\u00e9, un chien anxieux, un lapin bless\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019oreille. Rien ne laissait pr\u00e9sager ce qui allait suivre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vers 9h20, notre assistante \u00c9lise est entr\u00e9e en trombe dans le cabinet, les yeux \u00e9carquill\u00e9s.
\u00ab Il y a un cerf\u2026 devant la porte. Il nous regarde. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pensant \u00e0 une simple divagation animale \u2013 ce qui, dans notre r\u00e9gion bois\u00e9e, n\u2019\u00e9tait pas si rare \u2013 nous sommes sortis prudemment, arm\u00e9s de calme et de curiosit\u00e9. Et effectivement, un jeune cerf se tenait l\u00e0, immobile, haletant, les yeux vifs mais \u00e9trangement fix\u00e9s sur nous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais ce n\u2019est pas sa pr\u00e9sence qui nous a glac\u00e9 le sang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Autour de sa patte arri\u00e8re droite, il y avait quelque chose. Une sorte de lien m\u00e9tallique, serr\u00e9, rouill\u00e9\u2026 et accroch\u00e9 \u00e0 un morceau de corde bleue. En s\u2019approchant, nous avons compris : ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas un pi\u00e8ge de chasse ordinaire.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019\u00e9tait un dispositif bricol\u00e9, ill\u00e9gal, avec des traces de sang s\u00e9ch\u00e9 et\u2026 un petit symbole grav\u00e9 dans le m\u00e9tal. Un symbole qu\u2019aucun de nous ne reconnut imm\u00e9diatement, mais qui semblait trop pr\u00e9cis pour \u00eatre un hasard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous avons immobilis\u00e9 doucement l\u2019animal pour le lib\u00e9rer \u2013 mais d\u00e8s que nous avons vu les d\u00e9tails de ce pi\u00e8ge, une seule pens\u00e9e nous est venue : il faut pr\u00e9venir la police.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce n\u2019\u00e9tait plus seulement une urgence v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire. C\u2019\u00e9tait peut-\u00eatre la preuve d\u2019un acte criminel \u2014 ou pire, d\u2019un message laiss\u00e9 volontairement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depuis ce jour, l\u2019affaire est entre les mains des enqu\u00eateurs. Le cerf, lui, s\u2019est remis.
