En 1977, dans un petit h\u00f4pital de province, Claire Moreau, une jeune infirmi\u00e8re tout juste dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e, s\u2019occupait jour et nuit d\u2019un petit gar\u00e7on de huit ans, Thomas, victime d\u2019un grave incendie domestique. Il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 admis aux urgences avec des br\u00fblures couvrant plus de la moiti\u00e9 de son corps. Les m\u00e9decins \u00e9taient pessimistes, mais Claire refusait de baisser les bras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pendant des semaines, elle veillait sur lui. Elle lui tenait la main pendant les soins, lui lisait des histoires et le faisait rire malgr\u00e9 la douleur. Claire \u00e9tait plus qu’une infirmi\u00e8re pour lui \u2014 elle \u00e9tait devenue sa lumi\u00e8re dans un tunnel de souffrance. Puis, un jour, Thomas fut transf\u00e9r\u00e9 dans un autre \u00e9tablissement sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9. Claire n\u2019eut jamais de nouvelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
